About

Organised by the Dutch Probation Service
The Dutch Probation Service has 200 years of experience with alternatives for prison sentences and guiding people towards a crime-free existence. It is our ambition to contribute to the worldwide development of probation, based on the experience we have amassed. We are therefore honoured to be able to organise the sixth edition of the World Congress on Probation and Parole in the Netherlands, from 16 to 18 April 2024. This congress brings together probation workers, experience experts, researchers, policy makers and managers from all parts of the world. The central theme of the conference is ‘The Future of Probation and Parole’, and we want to exchange ideas from different perspectives, broaden the participants’ knowledge and strengthen their international network. After all, the future of probation is something we will create together!
